Software Systems Engineer

For our Haifa site, we are looking for an experienced Software Systems Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team and lead the development, integration, and validation of advanced defense systems. In this role, you will take part in the definition, design, integration, and delivery of complex software-intensive systems. You will work closely with software, hardware, electronics, networking, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop mission-critical solutions, playing a key role throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept and architecture through integration, validation, and customer deployment. Responsibilities: Define and manage system requirements, interfaces, and technical documentation Lead system integration, verification, validation, and acceptance activities Collaborate with Software, Hardware, Electronics, Networking, and Mechanical Engineering teams to ensure successful system development and integration Drive system-level design decisions and resolve complex technical challenges Support customer demonstrations, field testing, and operational deployments Coordinate technical activities with subcontractors and external partners when required Provide technical leadership throughout the entire product lifecycle Requirements: B.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline Experience in Systems Engineering of complex multidisciplinary systems Strong understanding of software-intensive systems and system architecture Experience in requirements engineering, interface management, system integration, and validation processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to lead technical activities independently and drive projects to completion High level of English Willingness to travel internationally as required Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in Linux-based environments Familiarity with networking concepts and distributed systems Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices, or cloud-native architectures Background in Command & Control (C2) systems Experience with maritime or unmanned systems Military naval background Experience working on mission-critical or defense-related systems *Only suitable candidates will be contacted #Haifa
